As a Strategic Financial Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial affairs of all Ingenia portfolios are properly controlled and reported. This includes managing a team member and meeting all statutory obligations regarding the preparation and lodgement of financial accounts and returns, and providing timely, relevant and accurate information to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct, perform and control the general accounting functions
  • Ensure accurate, timely and reconciled monthly reports and annual reporting requirements are met
  • Accounting for new acquisitions including settlement adjustments and training of staff at site on Ingenia finance policy and procedures
  • Maintain general ledger integrity of Newbook
  • In conjunction with the Operations Finance Manager, analyse and interpret operating results as they affect the financial position and make recommendations for profit improvement
  • After approval, ensure major capital expenditure is incurred in compliance with budgets and approval
  • Coordinate the preparation of the tax depreciation schedules
  • Coordinate the preparation of monthly BAS and payroll tax returns when required

About You

  • Candidates must hold a CA/CPA qualification
  • A strong understanding of Excel skills is essential
  • An understanding of property and taxation accounting issues is required
  • A working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards / AIFRS is necessary
  • You should be able to identify opportunities for improvement and proactively manage them
  • You will need to work under pressure and to tight timeframes
  • Responsiveness with a keen eye for detail is vital

Remuneration Package

The remuneration package for this role includes a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
