The successful candidate will be responsible for managing scientific, technical, and support staff, as well as overseeing the quality, cost, and operational integrity of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise scientific, technical, and support staff
  • Oversee the quality, cost, and operational integrity of the department
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation of laboratory services
  • Manage human resources, business, and resource management
  • Develop and implement quality management systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience in laboratory operations, administration, and budgeting
  • Advanced knowledge of Pathology Laboratory Information Systems
  • Extensive experience in diagnostic Bacteriology and automated Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
