Establishing a robust maintenance strategy is crucial to ensuring facilities are well-maintained, compliant, and operationally efficient.

This role offers an opportunity to lead in developing and implementing an overarching maintenance approach across various sites.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure facilities are well-maintained, compliant, and operationally efficient
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements relevant to aged care facilities
  • Overseeing budgets, procurement, and contract management for maintenance-related expenses
  • Collaborating with senior management to plan long-term maintenance and infrastructure projects
  • Building an engaged maintenance team that aligns with our Vision and Purpose, Core Values, and Maintenance operating principles

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications related to Project Management, Property Maintenance, Construction, or similar
  • Minimum 10 years' direct experience in maintenance delivery aspects across a portfolio of multi-sited, high-value assets in an environment where physical safety, security, and wellbeing are paramount
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial aspects (budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and negotiation) of the maintenance function and effective management of stakeholders and contractor relationships
  • Significant project management experience and well-honed conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, reporting, and time-management skills
  • Ability to build operational excellence through development of policies, procedures, processes, and engagement of workforce to achieve improvement targets
