Program Management Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead our Residential Care Program in Townsville.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about leading and developing a team that provides a safe and nurturing environment to children and young people in Out of Home Care using a trauma-informed approach.

About the Role

The successful candidate will coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of our Residential Care Program, overseeing the caseloads of direct reports and providing practical support as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, leading, motivating and managing a team of Child & Family Practitioners and Youth Workers.
  • Managing the Family Intervention Service, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards and internal policy.
  • Ensuring delivery of program services in accordance with local business plans and client needs.
  • Developing, leading, motivating and managing a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ensuring a consistent standard of quality is delivered for the program in accordance with regulations prescribed in relevant legislation and funding agency standards.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals, families and communities from a strength-based, culturally appropriate perspective in the out-of-home care sector.
  • Experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team and managing competing priorities.
  • Strong focus on quality practice and reporting capability.
  • Commitment to the care and protection of clients.
  • Understanding of the impact of trauma and attachment on children and young people and complex behaviors.
  • Experience in team leadership and management, including service and program management within budget constraints.
  • Recognised degree qualifications in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or related field.
