Regional Freight Delivery Specialist

As a dedicated local driver, you will play a vital role in transporting general freight to support our Bowen Branch and surrounding Whitsunday Region community with exceptional customer service.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, prioritizing the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including pre-start checks, run sheets, PODs, and logbooks, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Utilize IT platforms to scan freight and capture live signatures, streamlining operations and enhancing productivity.
- Perform manual handling tasks, such as opening/closing gates and pulling curtains, demonstrating attention to detail and physical ability.
- Adhere to established safety regulations and procedures, fostering a culture of risk management and employee well-being.
- Work efficiently, maintaining a steady pace to ensure high-quality work output and meet performance targets.
Key Qualifications:
- A current Medium Rigid Truck License (Manual 'B' condition preferred) or OR licensed HR Driver with MR/LR driving experience.
- Previous experience in the transport industry or previous truck driving (training provided for new entrants).
- A valid Forklift License and relevant experience.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment Medical, including a drug and alcohol screen, and complete a Criminal History Check upon successful interview stage.
