Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated Disability Support Professional to join our team in providing supportive care to two NDIS participants.
  • The successful applicant will have experience in personal care, meal preparation and social support, with training provided for optimal outcomes.
  • A key aspect of this role is working closely with the participants to develop positive relationships and enhance their quality of life.
  • In addition to the essential responsibilities, the Disability Support Professional will also assist with daily tasks, community access activities and provide emotional support and companionship.

About You:

  • You will possess a medical or nursing background, or equivalent experience in disability support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Fitness level required to perform job requirements

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Personal care and meal preparation for participants
  • Community access activities including social support, grocery shopping and outings
  • Developing positive relationships with participants
  • Assisting with daily tasks and activities
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • First Aid Certification, Working with Children Check, National Police Certificate and Driver Licence
