As a Structural Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and fabricating various structural steel products. This is an outstanding opportunity to showcase your expertise and work alongside an established team.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong work ethic who takes pride in their work. To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Certificate III in Boilermaking/Welding or equivalent qualification through an apprenticeship;
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of experience or
- At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements;
- Select, clean, and prepare metal stock;
- Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines;
- Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering;
- Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments;
- Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiselling, and grinding.
What We Offer:
This is a full-time position offering a salary of between $75k - $85k plus superannuation. If you meet the above criteria and are interested in contributing to an organisation that values quality and excellence, we want to hear from you.
