Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate group and individual lifestyle activities that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
  • Provide support to residents during sessions, including those with complex needs.
  • Offer one-on-one social and emotional support to enhance overall wellbeing.
  • Ensure activity spaces are set up and tidied, with equipment ready for use.
  • Assist with resident mobility and personal care during activities.
  • Complete administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Foster a welcoming environment that promotes inclusivity and respect among residents, families, and team members.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in aged care and memory support units.
  • Proven skills in planning and delivering leisure activities that promote emotional and social growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.
  • A person-centred approach with a commitment to dignity, privacy, and respectful care.
  • Organised, motivated, and reliable, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Special Requirements
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak periods.
  • Recommended to have current vaccinations according to government health guidelines.
  • Completion of pre-employment medical assessment as part of recruitment process.
