About Acumen

This is a unique opportunity to work with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) as a Rehabilitation Consultant at Acumen Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation journey of ADF personnel:

  • Take a holistic approach to care, working within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehabilitation to healing.
  • Utilise your clinical reasoning skills and expertise to support individuals who have suffered from a diverse range of injuries, illnesses, or trauma.
  • Work with motivated clients to develop, implement, and monitor their rehabilitation plans, with onsite access to medical and treatment providers for additional direct support.

Working from HMAS Cerberus in Crib Point, you will enjoy a great work-life balance, with set working hours and no overtime or outside-of-work hours work. Enjoy early starts and early finishes

Joining a high-quality service provider, you will be supported and mentored through direct interaction and an extensive onboarding process, including ongoing shadowing, to build your technical knowledge and expertise.

What will make you successful:

  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA or ESSA).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, or Osteopathy.
  • Strong clinical reasoning.
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal.
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate.
