The role of a Payroll Officer is to manage the end-to-end payroll process for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This involves using ELMO software to process fortnightly and monthly payroll, as well as handling off-cycle payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage the payroll inbox, responding to all payroll-related queries in a timely manner.
  • Support payroll audits by providing accurate and detailed information.
  • Follow up on pre-payroll authorizations, such as leave requests and approved timesheets.
  • Compile and maintain payroll reports, including year-to-date summaries.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within the business.

This position requires experience working with ELMO software, attention to detail, and knowledge of current payroll practices and employment law.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be highly organized, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work accurately under pressure. The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information is also essential.
