Senior Test Automation Specialist

As a key advocate for quality, the Senior Test Automation Specialist is responsible for embedding enterprise best practices and automation throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

This specialist ensures solution correctness by clarifying requirements, proactively mitigating risks, and driving continuous improvement in testing methodologies. The goal is to deliver reliable and high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Test Strategy & Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans that include estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation. Analyze requirements and design tests for thoroughness and risk mitigation.
  • Test Execution & Defect Management: Oversee all testing activities, including system, integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing. Effectively manage defects from logging to resolution, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders like developers, product owners, and project managers. Communicate testing progress, results, risks, and issues to stakeholders, providing actionable insights and detailed reports.
  • Quality Improvement & Mentorship: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Mentor junior test engineers, promoting their professional growth and technical development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 7+ years of hands-on testing experience, focusing on test automation within full-stack application environments.
  • Expertise in designing and developing automated UI test suites using tools like Playwright or similar.
  • Proficiency in automated API testing using tools such as Supertest, Axios, Postman, or equivalent.
  • Experience with performance testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Artillery.io, JMeter, Lighthouse).
  • Practical knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience integrating automated tests into pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, including leveraging its services for testing purposes.
