Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial accountant to join our team in Perth. This role is pivotal in executing the company's financial reporting obligations, interacting closely with the CFO.

This person will prepare all external financial reporting, consolidating our international group and accounting for share-based payments, business combinations and various other transactions using IFRS. They will leverage their strong technical accounting background, ideally gained from audit experience within a Big 4 or similar accounting firm to produce high-quality reporting using an existing framework that has been refined over a number of years.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the monthly and annual consolidation of our international group, including various entities with multiple currencies.
  • Accurately perform consolidation processes in Oracle NetSuite and manage this process for the finance team globally.
  • Take responsibility for IFRS accounting, including key areas such as share-based payments, business combinations, financial instruments, leases, revenue, and intangible assets.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with external auditors in Perth, but also in the UK and Spain if required.
  • Provide technical accounting advice and support to the CFO, Group Financial Controller and wider finance team.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls.
  • Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience in consolidating international groups with multiple functional currencies, ready to hit the ground running and hand over from our incumbent Financial Accountant.
  • Experience as an auditor within a Big-4 or similar accounting firm.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience in accounting for share-based payments, business combinations, and other key international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at varying levels, both internally and externally.
