Job Title: Financial Reporting Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Financial Reporting Specialist. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting clients with the preparation of financial and management accounting reports.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Taxation: Explain the basic principles and application of tax in a national and global economic context. Identify and apply tax rules for individuals and small businesses to ensure compliance.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and administer routine tax documentation for legal entities. Explain the nature and incidence of fringe benefits tax and goods and services tax.
  • Compliance: Apply basic tax accounting principles (e.g., tax returns, tax records). Calculate tax obligations for different business/taxation structures for non-complex scenarios.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in Commerce - Accounting or related business discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient user of Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software.
  • Self-motivated with strong personal initiative and willingness to pursue further development.

As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and administering routine tax documentation for legal entities. You will also explain the nature and incidence of fringe benefits tax and goods and services tax. In addition, you will apply basic tax accounting principles and calculate tax obligations for different business/taxation structures for non-complex scenarios.
