Senior Regulatory Advisor Role

This key position is within the Fair Trading and Regulatory Services department, requiring a senior professional to undertake assessments and create high-quality documents in accordance with legislative requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Review evidence summaries and submissions to recommend disciplinary actions.
  • Create and review notices for cause and decisions on disciplinary actions.
  • Provide instructions to legal officers and counsel in appeals to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and other courts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investigators, inspectors, legal officers, counsel, and executives.
  • Supervise a small team of professionals.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications in law or policy, or relevant experience in regulatory environments.
  • Strong understanding of investigation strategies, including rules of evidence and procedural fairness.
  • High-level analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and make sound decisions.
