Water Resources Engineer

The Townsville City Council is seeking a skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the Water and Resource Recovery section, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of the Integrated Water Management Strategy for Townsville.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the continued development and implementation of the Integrated Water Management Strategy for Townsville
- Participate in the development, delivery, and reporting on the Water and Resource Recovery Capital and Operational plans
- Provide input, problem-solving, and assistance with water treatment and network operations to support day-to-day operations, problem-solving, and water system optimisation
Specifically, you will deliver projects in:
- Water Treatment plant upgrades
- Dams Safety
- Network operations
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Water Resources Engineer who has a bachelor's degree in civil, chemical or environmental engineering and experience in a water treatment or distribution-related field. You should have effective communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to work autonomously and in a team.

- $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience
- 17.5% annual leave loading
