As a key member of the strategic planning team, you'll play a pivotal role in defining Defence's long-term digital capabilities.

About the Role

The Digital Strategy Director will lead the sustainment of defence's digital vision and technology roadmaps, aligning technology solutions with business needs through comprehensive planning and consolidation of the technology estate.

  • Develop and maintain holistic digital strategies and roadmaps that drive Defence's future capabilities.
  • Utilise Application Portfolio Management and taxonomy to optimise the technology landscape in support of business operations.
  • Collaborate with capability leads, program teams, and technical specialists to translate strategic vision into clear, achievable outcomes.
  • Analyse complex enterprise environments to identify technology gaps, overlaps, risks, and opportunities.
  • Promote innovative thinking while ensuring compliance with Defence ICT frameworks and governance processes.

This role requires strong leadership and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital transformation and be able to drive change within a large organisation.
