Job Title: Chief Actuary

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Actuary to lead our internal actuarial team. As the head of our actuarial function, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a hybrid actuarial services model.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in personal injury insurance or statutory schemes, with a proven track record of building actuarial functions and leading cross-functional teams.

You will provide strategic advice to senior leadership on scheme performance and risk, develop actuarial models to support regulatory decision-making, and mentor and uplift capability across the organisation.

Additionally, you will lead reform initiatives in workers' compensation and related schemes, working closely with stakeholders to drive business growth and improvement.

About You
  • Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA)
  • Extensive experience in personal injury insurance or statutory schemes
  • Proven track record in building actuarial functions and leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
