**Job Title:** Assistant Farm Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Farm Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a 260-hectare farm, providing a leading role in the management of the property, including pasture development and maintenance, livestock management, animal husbandry, resource management, weed management and environmental sustainability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural production, with experience in managing broadacre beef, sheep and crop production, including planning, budgeting and working collaboratively in a team. They will also possess detailed knowledge of animal husbandry, livestock nutrition, fodder conservation, pasture and property improvement programs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the farm, including pasture development and maintenance, livestock management, animal husbandry, resource management, weed management and environmental sustainability.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve the productivity and efficiency of the farm, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Work collaboratively with the farm team to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on farm activities, including financials, inventory and equipment maintenance.

**Requirements:**

  • Demonstrated experience in management of a broad acre property producing beef, sheep and crops.
  • Appropriate trade qualification and/or experience relevant to agricultural production.
  • Current Victorian Driver's License.
  • Forklift License and or Elevated Work Platform (EPP) is highly desirable.
