Equine Estate Manager

This is an exceptional opportunity to oversee a private horse estate on the Gold Coast. As the Estates Manager and Greenskeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining the property's high standard of presentation and condition.

Your duties will include ensuring the barn, arena and external buildings are impeccably kept, as well as the horses, gardens and dwellings. You will also be responsible for weeding, preparing horse feed, addressing obstacles and risks to horses' safety, liaising with contractors, and maintaining fencing and shelters.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have knowledge and experience in managing small acreage, pasture, gardens, equipment, external buildings, barns and infrastructure. You should also have handyman skills, sound knowledge of horses, and the ability to manage schedules and coordinate contractors when necessary.

About You

We are seeking someone who is passionate about horses and can look after their general welfare, fitness and safety. If you have multiple years of experience around horses, it is not necessarily essential, but you will need to be able to manage the day-to-day operations of the property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the arena and day yards are weed-free
  • Prepare horse feed daily and evening meals
  • Address obstacles and risks to horses' safety
  • Liaise with contractors and other personnel who attend premises
  • Maintain fencing and shelters through oiling
  • Keep established gardens in good order and condition, including hedging and weeding
