Reliability Engineer

The position of Reliability Engineer is open to improve Liberty Primary Steel equipment reliability by providing Condition Monitoring services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support to individual plant areas, including vibration monitoring and analysis, machine balancing, thermography, and other tools to measure and predict asset condition.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and fault finding as required in individual plant areas.
  • Providing recommendations to maintenance personnel to maximise equipment life and minimise life cycle cost.
  • Analysing and reporting on asset conditions in a timely fashion based on quality routine and adhoc test results.
  • Adhering to work management compliance standards to ensure condition monitoring tests, analysis, and reports are completed on time in accordance with asset criticality and plant availability.
  • Ensuring and maintaining a high standard in customer service and communication to individual plants.
  • Incident/accident reporting and investigation is undertaken.

We seek hardworking and enthusiastic candidates who can demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
  • Trained in Condition Monitoring techniques (VCAT 1). VCAT 2 and IRT CAT 1 are desirable.
  • 3-5 years of condition monitoring/reliability experience in heavy industrial manufacturing businesses.
  • Competent in condition monitoring test equipment and analysis software applications.
  • Good hands-on experience in SAP and MS Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel.
  • Maintenance management of manufacturing assets.
  • Self-motivated, shows initiative, manages competing priorities, meets deadlines, and is resourceful.
