About this role
Job OverviewThis position is responsible for protecting structures from corrosion through specialized painting techniques.
- Corrosion management;
- Blasting, painting and remediation of concrete and steel structures;
- Lining and waterproofing;
- Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) Structural Strengthening;
- Cathodic Protection (CP);
- Pipeline Electrical Hazard Assessments.
The successful candidate will be working in a variety of industry sectors including naval, defence, marine, transport and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of surfaces for painting;
- Industrial painting;
- Usage of equipment and hand power tools;
- Working in confined spaces;
- Overtime and some weekend work available;
- Opportunity for training & development.
- Industrial spray painting experience with decorating / roller/brush skills;
- Surface preparation including the use of small tools;
- Nationally Accredited OHS Card (White/Blue Card);
- Confined Space Ticket;
- High Risk Tickets e.g. FL, EWP (desirable).
A team player with a safety-first attitude is essential. The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including D&A screen, is also required.
