Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Professional to join our team. As a key member, you will provide expert guidance on health and safety matters, facilitate open responses to incidents, promote occupational health and wellbeing, and develop engaging training programs that build capability in risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expert Guidance: Provide professional health and safety advice to support a strong safety culture.
  • Learning and Event Response: Facilitate constructive responses to incidents focusing on learning, collaboration, and sustainable improvements.
  • Promoting Occupational Health and Wellbeing: Collaborate with occupational health professionals to support health surveillance programs and contribute to workplace wellbeing initiatives.
  • Training and Engagement: Develop and deliver engaging training programs that build capability in risk management and safe work practices.
  • Injury Management and Emergency Preparedness: Provide occupational first aid, injury management support, and ensure effective systems for returning injured workers.
  • Data and Reporting: Collect, analyse, and report on safety data to support compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualifications in WHS Management, Applied Science, Engineering, or equivalent qualifications and/or experience.
  • Strong knowledge of current safety legislation and the ability to integrate requirements into practical solutions.
  • Proven experience in applying safety management systems, facilitating investigations, and supporting continual improvement.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
