We are seeking an exceptional Machinist to join our Adelaide workshop team. Our Precision Machining workshop is a fast-paced and developing environment with growing work fronts for contracts, upcoming / existing projects, reoccurring maintenance and shut down requirements.

The Role:

This role involves working in a safe and productive manner, assisting in the continual improvement of processes, and manufacturing parts from various metals and material types using conventional workshop equipment such as Lathe, Milling, Surface Grinding, Cylindrical Grinding, and CNC machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read detailed drawings to manufacture parts
  • Operate and program CNC machines including Siemens and Mazatrol controllers
  • Measure and check parts for tolerance and fits according to tolerances
  • Fitting of parts into sub-assemblies and machines
  • Perform operational maintenance of machines, and overhaul and repair mechanical parts
  • Provide technical support to ensure all works are completed to health and safety, environment and quality requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A recognized trade qualification as fitter machinist or 1st class metal machinist
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience
  • Proven technical competency in precision metal machinery
  • Proactive safety focus
  • Ability to manage your own time and be self-motivated
  • Good communication skills with positive attitude to work
  • Able to proactively work in a fast-paced environment
