We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team at K'gari Beach Resort. This is a permanent full-time live-on island opportunity offering a competitive salary, working 10 days on and 4 days off across a broad rostering system of up to 76 hours a fortnight.
About You- Have a professional outlook in the workplace and show an invested interest in the hospitality industry
- Hands-on approach to work
- Immaculate grooming and personal presentation
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to work across multiple outlets
- Knowledge of chemical handling
- Knowledge of food handling
- Take pride in your customer service abilities to ensure our guests' experience on island is one to remember
- Minimum 2-3 years' industry experience post qualification - preferably in a hotel / resort environment / banquet
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (highly regarded)
- Completed HACCP and Food Safety and Hygiene training
- Experience in a busy kitchen
- The ability to work across a broad rostering system, over a 7-day working week
- Manual license (highly regarded)
- Great communication and organizational skills
- Efficient and effective time management skills
