Lead Passenger Services at Melbourne Airport

We are seeking a skilled professional to spearhead our passenger services team at Melbourne Airport.

  • Promote a positive safety culture by providing guidance and oversight on occupational health and safety, ensuring strong reporting and a Just Culture.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations and procedures of client organizations.
  • Oversight operational efficiency through strategic planning and effective management of manpower resources, including rosters, training, and leave, as well as managing key cost areas and revenue capture.
  • Ensure airports meet performance requirements and maintain operational integrity.
  • Analyze airport performance scorecards and identify operational weaknesses to implement corrective strategies.
  • Manage the safe and secure operation of equipment, overseeing costs for repair and maintenance.
  • Cultivate a leadership role in fostering a positive team culture, actively managing individual performance, addressing grievances, complaints, and disciplinary issues.
  • Nurture an inclusive environment valuing equality, fairness, transparency, with zero tolerance for bullying, discrimination, and harassment.

To excel in this position, you will require:

  • Technical proficiency in multi-client airport operations, ground handling, and aircraft loading activities.
  • Proven leadership experience in fast-paced, safety-focused service operations, adept at managing diverse client needs.
  • Knowledgeable in training practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory and skills-based training requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong verbal reasoning and administrative abilities.
  • Able to work independently under pressure and within strict timeframes, demonstrating initiative and motivation.
