Your Role

As a Software Development Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that designs, develops, and deploys cutting-edge systems for monitoring, operating, and scaling ground infrastructure. Your expertise will be invaluable in automating repetitive tasks, ensuring high availability, and driving continuous improvement.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, optimize system performance, and troubleshoot complex issues. If you're passionate about technology, customer experience, and making a difference, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Continuously strive to automate manual processes, reducing downtime and increasing efficiency.
  • System Design: Ensure all systems are designed to be robust, scalable, maintainable, and adaptable as the service scales and evolves.
  • Critical Infrastructure: Build and maintain critical tools, procedures, and infrastructure to report on the health of ground infrastructure.
  • Integration: Integrate with existing systems, such as trouble ticketing, dashboards, and metrics tools, to streamline operations.
  • Performance Improvement: Measure and improve the performance and availability of the Kuiper Ground Infrastructure.
What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 4+ years of experience deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Knowledge of at least one modern programming language (C, C++, Java, or Perl).
  • Practical experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
  • Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems.
