Warehouse Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Warehouse Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a physically active role and is passionate about delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and Storing Materials: Receive and store materials in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that all goods are accurately accounted for and securely stored.
  • Loading and Unloading Orders: Load and unload orders from trucks and other delivery vehicles, using appropriate lifting equipment to minimize the risk of injury.
  • Operate Forklifts and Other Equipment: Operate forklifts and other machine processing equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Pick and Pack Stock: Pick and pack stock from storage areas to create specific orders, using accurate and efficient processes to minimize errors.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through your service levels, while also maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who has the following skills and qualifications:

  • Forklift Licence: Must have a valid forklift licence and proven experience in operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
  • Gantry Crane Experience: Gantry crane experience is preferred but training can be provided to the successful candidate.
  • Truck Driver Licence: A truck driver licence and experience in driving in a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to think on your feet and provide safe and workable solutions is critical in this fast-paced environment.
