Asset Protection Officer

This is a key role within our organisation, responsible for conducting proactive and reactive inspections of sites associated with various types of building or construction activity. The Asset Protection Officer will be delegated to enforce Council's Local Laws relating to these matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues within the Asset Protection team and other key departments, as well as customers within the municipality.
  • Demonstrate asset protection awareness and understanding.
  • Develop and maintain strong interpersonal skills to contribute effectively within the team and represent the organisation positively out in the field.
  • Manage time effectively to achieve key deliverables.
  • Relevant experience in planning or local law enforcement is desirable.
Mandatory Pre-employment Requirements:
  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
  • Be willing to undertake a premedical assessment check (if applicable for the role).
  • A valid Victorian driving licence.
