Compassionate Healthcare Professional Wanted

Our Donor Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe collection and processing of blood products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting and interviewing potential donors, providing clinical oversight, and guiding other team members in the blood collection process. They will also conduct routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests, set up machines and collections equipment, and insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
Additionally, the Registered Nurse will manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance, and monitor donors post-donation to assist them in rebooking for their next donation.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
- Excellent customer-facing skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service
- Flexibility to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
- The ability to occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs, frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products
