Compassionate Care Advocate - Wollongong

Wollongong Hospital is the major referral and teaching hospital for the Illawarra Shoalhaven region, offering a range of services and specialty areas.

This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to create and deliver care plans that promote positive health outcomes. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as mentoring and supporting newer team members.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Provide high-quality, person-centered care that supports positive health outcomes for patients and their families.
  • Mentor and support newer team members to enhance their skills and confidence.
  • Contribute to quality and safety initiatives to ensure excellence in care delivery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Applicable vaccination requirements.
  • Working With Children Check.
  • Australian working rights (citizenship, residency, or visa).
