About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Professional to join our team as a Baker.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating innovative baked products while identifying new business opportunities, developing partnerships, and driving growth in the bakery sector.

This role involves supporting the future-proofing of core business operations by anticipating market trends and consumer habits.

Responsibilities include conducting Cost-in-Use analyses, functional benchmarking of bakery designs, and serving as the liaison between operations and commercial teams or customers.

Additionally, the role will involve managing or assisting in the delivery of agreed development projects and assignments.

The role requires expertise not only in baking but also market research, client engagement, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new and unique baked goods that align with market trends and customer preferences.
  • Maintain high-quality standards for all baked products, ensuring consistency and compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Experiment with new recipes and techniques to create appealing product offerings.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth, including new markets, distribution channels, and partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners to foster long-term growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote products and develop strategies for customer acquisition and retention.
  • Conduct market research to understand consumer behaviour, industry trends, and competitor strategies.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive business development plan to drive sales and increase brand presence.
  • Act as a representative for the company in trade shows, community events, and business meetings.
  • Manage client accounts and provide excellent customer service to strengthen client relationships.
