**Job Title:** Direct Care Assistant
Job Description:As a Direct Care Assistant, you will be working in a residential care home assisting residents with daily activities and promoting their independence. You will work under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care is provided.
Your key responsibilities will include supporting residents with daily living tasks, encouraging their independence, and fostering a respectful and dignified environment. You will also contribute to ensuring the well-being and comfort of residents through your role as part of the care team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
- Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
- Experience in providing direct care services in a health-related field.
- Experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
- Proficiency in computer packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
