Next-Generation Quantum Sensor Developer

We are seeking a skilled scientist to develop innovative small-form-factor quantum sensors that excel in harsh environments. The ideal candidate will collaborate with experts to address challenges in aeronautical positioning, navigation, geophysical surveying, and magnetic anomaly detection.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term position for 4 to 6 months, focusing on numerical modeling of quantum atomic devices and signal processing to improve sensor performance in noisy conditions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and development to enhance the performance of next-generation quantum sensors.
  • Create theoretical models and simulation tools to assess sensor performance in real-world conditions.
  • Use data analytics to translate sensor data streams into actionable insights for solving pressing challenges.
  • Collaborate with research and engineering teams to deploy and validate algorithms and sensing solutions on hardware.
  • Develop and document high-quality software using Python.
  • Present findings internally and externally through presentations, publications, technical reports, or blog posts.
Ideal Qualifications:
  • A B.Sc. (Honours) or M.Sc. in Physics, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience in the theory, modeling, or optimization of quantum atomic physics, magnetometry, or control.
