Job Title: Staff Specialist

We are seeking a skilled medical practitioner to join our team as a Staff Specialist.

The successful candidate will provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a healthcare facility, working within the boundaries of their granted privileges.

  • Required Qualifications:
  • Current medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (or equivalent)
  • Postgraduate sub-specialty fellowships (or equivalent)
  • Other specialist recognition provided under the relevant award
  • Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice and adaptability in accordance with contemporary evidence-based best practice
  • Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management
  • Participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including supervision of junior medical staff
  • Continuing self-education and development, with evidence of participation in continuing medical education and professional development
  • Able to comply with service objectives of a public health organization, including provision of services to the local community, effective resource utilization, and readiness to participate in LHD-level health services
  • Preparedness to participate in hospital or LHD on-call rosters
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other staff and practitioners in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
