This is a permanent full-time position that commences soon. The role is part of Halls Head College, an Independent Public School catering to diverse student needs.

We aim to 'nurture lifelong learners who contribute positively to the community.' By working together with our parents, students, and broader community, we equip each student with the skills, knowledge, and capabilities to be active and positive citizens beyond Years 7 to 12.

We're seeking a permanent Level 2 School Officer to support our Student Services department, focusing on Years 10–12. The successful applicant will provide daily support for student enquiries, referrals, and passes, and contact parents if students are unwell.

The ideal candidate will have a friendly, positive, and caring attitude, promoting excellence within our school and interacting with parents and the wider community.

Responsibilities include supporting the Manager Corporate Services in administering the school's marketing, financial, physical, and human resources, upholding confidentiality and security of sensitive material.

You will assist other members of the school administration team with maintaining accurate school databases, records, and management information systems. You will also assist with student enrolment procedures and operate a range of software packages, particularly databases and word processing.

Experience with Department of Education databases and systems, such as Resource Management (RM) Billing, Consent2Go, School Online Booking Systems (SOBS), and others, is highly desirable.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing effective administrative support and organizing tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial processes and procedures, including handling debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and/or preparing financial returns.
  • Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills and experience in applying customer service principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.

Eligibility:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting.
  • Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
