- Conflict Resolution: Experience or knowledge of positive conflict resolution frameworks, including Restorative Justice and Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS) Model.
- Democratic Leadership: Experience in community schooling, fostering a democratic approach to education.
- Curriculum and Pedagogy Expertise: Knowledge of the WA curriculum and independent school sector. Is aware of current and emerging trends in learning and pedagogy for children and can lead innovations appropriate to the philosophy of Kerry Street.
- Effective Communication: Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, including public speaking. Practices Nonviolent Communication (NVC).
- Mentoring Skills: The ability to mentor and empower staff and students through a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Digital Proficiency: Competency with Microsoft Office 365 and school management systems such as Sentral.
