The role involves partnering with research scientists and engineers to build and manage patent portfolios. You will advise on freedom to operate and landscape analyses, supporting new development projects.
In this position, you will serve as a trusted colleague to R&D teams on all IP issues. You will align IP strategies with business plans, lead outside counsel in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, and offer expert guidance on patents.
The essential qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics, registration as a patent agent, and at least 5 years of experience as a Patent Agent/Junior Counsel. A strong understanding of intellectual property law is crucial.
