Electrical Trade Assistant Job Description

We are seeking experienced electrical trade assistants for a long-term opportunity to work on the maintenance facilities of our project.

This is an excellent chance to work alongside other electricians and trade assistants, performing various electrical tasks including installing electrical products, running new cables, and any duties assigned by the site manager.

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum five years' experience as an electrical trade assistant;
  • A current RIW/MTA card with roles on their card;
  • A white card;
  • Pegasus Card (desirable);
  • Elevated Work Platform Ticket (desirable);
  • Working at Heights Ticket (desirable);
  • Safely Access the Rail Corridor SOA; and
  • Category 3 Medical.

In return, the successful candidate will receive:

  • $40.00 per hour normal time, plus super;
  • 8 hours per day minimum (40 hours per week);
  • All PPE supplied;
  • Own transport to and from the job site (preferable);
  • Own power tools (drills etc); and
  • Own hand tools.

  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle (preferable);
  • Other relevant skills and qualifications as required.
