Job Title: Maternal Healthcare Specialist

About the Position

The successful candidate will provide women-centered maternity care, collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. They will also supervise and support less experienced clinicians to achieve person-focused quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support less experienced clinicians to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Deliver woman-centered maternity care in collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Demonstrate competencies in knowledge of complexities and challenges involved in caring for women and babies
  • Apply evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for individualized woman-centered care
  • Supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality midwifery care
Selection Criteria:
  • Current Registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated competencies in complex care for women and babies
  • Effective clinical communication and interpersonal skills
  • Evidence-based practice and critical thinking
  • Ability to supervise, delegate, and negotiate
  • Recent clinical experience relevant to the position
