Lead Ecosystem Development and Business Partnerships

The Business Development Director will drive strategic partnerships for a major initiative.

  • Owning strategic partnerships across DeFi and core onchain use cases, including Borrow & Lend, Bridge, Earn, Trade & Swap, Move/Send/Pay, and Stake.
  • Serving as a thought partner to Product, contributing to roadmap discussions, use case design, and product requirement documents.
  • Navigating high-stakes conversations with protocol leaders, founders, and C-level stakeholders. Identifying, structuring, and closing deals that drive ecosystem growth and unlock new opportunities.
  • Operating independently: running end-to-end workstreams, managing internal stakeholders, and taking full accountability for execution.
  • Moving quickly through ambiguity, failing fast when needed, and iterating with speed.
  • Representing the project externally at key ecosystem forums, conferences, and partner events.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, or ecosystem experience.
  • 3+ years in a crypto-native environment.
  • A proven track record of structuring and executing high-impact deals in DeFi or related verticals.
  • A deep understanding of onchain economies, builder incentives, and protocol mechanics.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable having direct conversations at the C-suite level.
  • A product-oriented mindset with experience influencing roadmaps, writing, or contributing to PRDs.
  • High-agency operators who execute independently and thrive in a zero-to-one environment.
  • Embracing iteration and experimentation: willing to take calculated risks and move through uncertainty.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
