Job Opportunity

The Australian and New Zealand Kidney Exchange program seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to coordinate its operations.

This 3-year fixed term part-time role presents an exciting opportunity to work in a progressive and supportive team, contributing to the improvement of live kidney transplants in Australia and New Zealand.


Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the ANZKX program, ensuring seamless coordination with local and national transplant centres.
  • Oversee organ transport during paired kidney donation surgeries, providing clinical leadership and consultancy as needed.
  • Liaise with patients, families, carers, and external stakeholders to ensure successful kidney transportation nationally and internationally.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Hold current registration as a Registered Nurse under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Possess a tertiary qualification in Nursing, with a minimum of 5 years nursing experience, preferably in Nephrology Nursing.
  • Demonstrate organisational skills, including issue analysis, task coordination, prioritisation, and timely completion in a dynamic environment.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills to manage complex and sensitive issues effectively.
