About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our expanding team of professional Balanced Machines Engineers. As a senior engineer for project delivery, you will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting scope of works, technical specifications, and assisting with tenders.

Key Accountabilities
  • Review and interpret scope of works, technical specifications
  • Assist with tenders
  • Design, specify and/or select components
  • Complete 2D and/or 3D design related works
  • Participate in design and safety reviews
  • Determine scope and/or design changes
  • Prepare calculations, reports, datasheets, BOM, scope of works, construction and/or commissioning methodologies
  • Provide procurement and manufacturing support
  • Assist services and spares related works and attend site as required
  • Assist with the commissioning of machines
  • Train and mentor junior personnel
  • Drive QA/QC best outcomes for the Company and Clients
About You

To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the mining industry (preference for balanced machines and materials handling experience)
  • Proficient in relevant engineering tools, software, and CAD systems
  • Experience with direct liaison in a multidisciplinary team
