Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Balanced Machines division. As a senior engineer for project delivery, you will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting scope of works, technical specifications, and assisting with tenders. You will also design, specify, and/or select components, complete 2D and/or 3D design related works, and participate in design and safety reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret scope of works, technical specifications;
  • Assist with tenders;
  • Design, specify and/or select components;
  • Complete 2D and/or 3D design related works;
  • Participate in design and safety reviews;
  • Determine scope and/or design changes;
  • Prepare calculations, reports, datasheets, BOM, scope of works, construction and/or commissioning methodologies;
  • Provide procurement and manufacturing support;
  • Assist services and spares related works and attend site as required;
  • Assist with the commissioning of machines;
  • Train and mentor junior personnel;
  • Drive QA/QC best outcomes for the Company and Clients;

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the mining industry (preference for balanced machines and materials handling experience);
  • Proficient in relevant engineering tools, software, and CAD systems;
  • Experience with direct liaison in a multidisciplinary team;

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of seven years of experience in the mining industry.
