This is a dynamic role that offers the chance to make a significant impact in environmental protection and people's lives.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual who can collaborate with local governments and other team members to address waste and pollution issues. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow to deliver frontline regulatory operations aligned with our strategic objectives.

  • Support the delivery of our Environmental Protection Program, responding to regional waste and pollution reports.
  • Implement regulatory actions to prevent harm to communities and the environment through education, engagement, compliance monitoring, and enforcement measures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, duty holders, communities, local governments, and other partners to enhance environmental and public health outcomes.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and improve teamwork practices.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills and new powers/tools in environmental regulations to deliver priority outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Completion of Authorized Officer and Field Response Officer training, or the ability to complete it within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Ability to deliver regulatory operations to meet organizational objectives.
  • Proficiency in applying relevant government legislation, regulations, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of local government and environmental regulation related to pollution and waste is desirable.
  • Project and program delivery skills, including risk management, task prioritization, and workflow monitoring.
