Job Title: Senior Advisor, Strategy and Business Improvement

Join the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet as a Senior Advisor, Strategy and Business Improvement. This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with the First Assistant Secretary, Corporate and Technology Division to deliver strategic priorities and provide high-quality influential advice to stakeholders.

About the Role

This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing, with the employment type to be determined in negotiation with the preferred candidate and the PM&C delegate. The successful candidate will support the First Assistant Secretary, Corporate and Technology Division and work closely with other Senior Executive and Executive Support Staff from across the division and broader department to deliver business improvement initiatives, provide accurate, concise and timely advice, anticipate and identify emerging risks and sensitivities, and demonstrate judgement to manage competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a small team to deliver business improvement initiatives
  • Provide high-quality influential advice to stakeholders
  • Anticipate and identify emerging risks and sensitivities
  • Demonstrate judgement to manage competing priorities
  • Work collaboratively across the division to understand the strategic links between the department's objectives and the division's core business

Eligibility
  • Be an Australian Citizen at the closing date of application
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, or hold a current security clearance of an appropriate level
  • Be assessed through our pre-employment screening checks, such as an Australian Criminal History Check
