Occupational Overview

Captains are the masters of a ship, responsible for its safe navigation and management.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure crew and passenger safety by navigating through challenging waters
  • Maintain vessel machinery and systems in optimal working condition
  • Make swift decisions in emergency situations
  • Foster collaboration with other crew members to achieve shared objectives
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Holding a Master 4 or MED 2 certificate
  • Prior experience on vessels over 20m in length
  • Excellent physical fitness and ability to work extended hours
  • Effective communication skills
