CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay is a leading provider of out-of-home care services for children and young people. We are seeking an experienced Child and Family Services Team Leader to join our team on the Central Coast.

About the Role

The Therapeutic House Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day functions and operations of the house, ensuring that individualised support is provided to young people in line with the principles of Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC). This role requires leadership responsibilities and will serve as a great role model for up-and-coming Youth Workers, providing mentoring and coaching to equip them with the skills they need to do their job well.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise all daily operations from the allocated house/s.
  • Provide strengths-based solutions-focused supervision, support, and mentoring to Youth Workers.
  • Management of house finances and budgets, administration, client records, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with incident management, reporting, and escalation requirements and that organisational obligations under mandatory reporting, child protection, safeguarding, and WHS are met.
  • Advocate for and support the rights of children and young people.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or Social Welfare, including electives on trauma OR relevant Diploma AND Graduate Certificate in either: Developmental Trauma, or Statutory Child Protection, or Client Intervention and Case Management.
  • Min. 3 years' direct experience in working with high-risk or vulnerable children and young people in an out-of-home care environment.
  • Min. 2 years' experience leading a small team using contemporary approaches.
  • A well-developed understanding of OOHC Services, ITC, and child protection.
  • Ability to manage crisis situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Full NSW drivers licence and own insured vehicle.
