We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Geotechnical/Dams Engineer to join our team at Geoscience Ireland. As a key member of our geotechnical team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects and providing technical leadership to junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage geotechnical projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff, mentoring and developing their skills and knowledge.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Contribute to the development of business strategies and proposals, identifying new opportunities and growth areas.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging trends, applying this knowledge to improve our services and deliver exceptional results.
- 12+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably with a focus on dams and infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality projects, with a strong understanding of geotechnical principles and practices.
- Excellent technical and communication skills, with the ability to lead and manage teams, and work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships, and contribute to business growth and development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
