Job Description:
A Defence Industry Security Officer is required to join our team. The successful candidate will develop and implement security policies and plans in accordance with the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and Defence Industry Security Program. Responsibilities include ensuring obligations for Defence Industry Principles Framework (DISP) policy documents are met, ensuring the company complies with relevant obligations, policy and procedures in relation to security, and monitoring and managing ongoing suitability of sponsored security cleared personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement security policies and plans
  • Ensure obligations for DSPF and DISP policy documents are met
  • Ensure company compliance with security policy and procedures
  • Monitor and manage ongoing suitability of sponsored security cleared personnel

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of initiative, exceptional communication skills both oral and written, and experience working with the Defence Industry Principles Framework (DISP) policy.

Knowledge of writing security practices, procedures, policies and plans, previous security experience in a Defence or industry related environment, experience in planning and managing security assistance operations, conducting profile specific security risk assessments, critically analysing multiple streams of information under time pressure and producing actionable insights are desirable.
