About the Role

Mater Misericordiae Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Guest Service Assistant to join our team at our South Brisbane Campus. This is a casual role that will work to a rotating roster across 7 days of the week, with shifts rostered to meet the operational requirements of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks as scheduled in various areas of the hospital and provide support within the Guest Service team to ensure a safe, efficient cleaning and guest service to Mater patients.
  • Functions as part of a team that ensures delivery of guest service activities to Mater Health Services is completed within required time frames and at the highest standard.
  • Understand and work towards achieving all guest service related key performance indicators across all Mater facilities.
  • Strive to maintain a friendly and cheerful demeanor at all times while on duty to support our patients.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, guidelines, and work instructions relevant to guest services.
  • Adhere to all health, hygiene, and safety guidelines and report any health and safety risks (including near misses) and equipment failures in a timely manner to your Supervisor.
  • Complete 3-stage Deprox clean using appropriate Deprox machinery in a safe manner in line with guest services guidelines.
  • Respect guests' rights and the confidentiality of all matters relating to guests, patients, their families, and other staff.
  • Identify and log maintenance items as required.
